The Word works

And we continually thank God because, when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as the true word of God—the word which is now at work in you who believe. – 1 Thessalonians 2:13

Imagine that God Himself wrote you a personal note. What would you do with it? Would you keep it close, reading it daily and cherishing every word? Or would you set it aside, forgotten in a drawer, or even throw it away?

The Bible Is God’s Living Word

The Creator of all things has already given us His personal words in the Bible. It is a collection of divine notes written to guide, encourage, and sustain us. Our loving Father has handed us His truth, promising that within these pages we will find everything needed for a joyful life on earth and eternal life in heaven. The question is, do we treasure it and read it daily, or do we let it sit unopened and neglected?

Believing or Ignoring God’s Word

Either we believe that God has spoken through His Word, or we do not. If we do not, then Jesus has no meaning for us, forgiveness is out of reach, salvation has no foundation, and our hope for the future disappears. Choosing to ignore the Bible is no different than hiding it in a drawer or tossing it away.

Choosing to Treasure Scripture

But if we believe God’s Word is true, then we must hold it close and allow it to shape our lives. The Bible places the wisdom, comfort, and truth of the Almighty in our very hands. Every page is filled with His power, His promises, and His love for us. Read His words daily, let them take root in your heart, and allow His truth to transform your life.
