>For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. – 1 Thessalonians 4:14

Jesus rose from the dead and lives forever—and so will we. This powerful truth is the foundation of Christian faith. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we have been offered new life, freedom from sin, and the promise of eternal life.

Faith in a Simple but Profound Truth

The message is simple: Jesus died for our sins and rose again to demonstrate our forgiveness and victory over sin. Yet the simplicity of this truth can make it difficult for many to accept. How can one act—Jesus’ death and resurrection—carry such weight and eternal consequence?

Creation and the Love of God

God created all things by His imagination and power. Everything He made is infused with His love, because love is central to His perfect nature. However, God’s perfection created a separation from us—sinful and self-focused human beings. Our imperfections made it impossible to enter into relationship with a perfect God. Sin brought death, destruction, and brokenness into the world.

Jesus: God Made Flesh

God entered creation in the person of Jesus Christ. He revealed the heart of the Father, taught us how to love, and modeled a life that pleases God. Still, Jesus knew we could never achieve this standard on our own. No matter how hard we try, we cannot overcome the power of sin by our own effort.

The Power of the Cross and Resurrection

Jesus took upon Himself all of our sin and its penalty—death. Every sin, whether small or great, was paid for through His sacrifice. His resurrection from the dead proved that the power of sin and death was broken. What once held humanity captive now has no authority over those who believe.

Salvation Through Simple Faith

It only takes humble, simple faith. We must acknowledge that we cannot save ourselves. Even our best efforts fall short of God’s perfection. When we set aside our pride and simply trust in the finished work of Jesus, we receive full forgiveness and restoration.

The Promise of Eternal Life

Jesus rose from the dead—and so will we. This is the hope of the gospel. Because He lives, we too will live forever with Him. It is not a complicated formula, but a call to believe in what God has already done through Jesus Christ.
