But he said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me. – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Where do you find strength?

When the Apostle Paul wrote about his struggles, he admitted there were things in his life that caused pain and weakness. We are not told exactly what those difficulties were, whether physical, emotional, or outward challenges. What we do know is that Paul prayed for God to take them away, yet God chose to let them remain for a greater purpose.

God’s Strength in Our Weakness

We often desire for life to go smoothly and for God to quickly remove our aches, burdens, and problems. In His kindness, there are times He does exactly that. But there are also times when He allows challenges to stay so that we may learn to rely fully on Him. These struggles remind us that He alone is our true source of strength.

Grace That Sustains Us

We are able to face all things not because of our own strength, but because of God’s power and grace working in us. His strength shines most clearly when we are weak, when the problems before us are too great for us to handle alone. In those moments, God carries us through and His glory is revealed.

Growing Through Weakness

Like Paul, we can rejoice even in our frailties because they draw us closer to God. Through weakness, we experience His grace, learn humility, and grow deeper in faith. Every challenge becomes an opportunity to know the heart of our Father more fully.

God’s Power Is Greater

Whatever weighs us down, leaves us feeling helpless, or causes distress is never the end of the story. These struggles are temporary, but God’s power is eternal. Through every hardship, we are led to discover the overwhelming strength of His love, a power that will never fail us.
