I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being. – Ephesians 3:16

How wealthy is God, and what does that mean for your life today? Scripture gives a clear and comforting answer. God’s riches are limitless, and from that abundance He strengthens you from the inside out through His Spirit. This is not distant theology. It is a personal promise meant to shape how you see God, yourself, and your purpose.

What does Ephesians 3:16 teach us about God’s riches?

When the apostle Paul speaks of the riches of God’s glory, he is pointing to something far greater than material wealth. God is the Creator of heaven and earth, and everything belongs to Him. As Psalm 24:1 reminds us, the whole world and everything in it is His.

God’s wealth is not limited or measured the way human wealth is. His riches include power, wisdom, mercy, and love that never run dry. When He gives, He does not lose anything. Instead, He pours out generously because His nature is abundance.

This means that when God strengthens you, He is not giving from scarcity but from infinite fullness. You can trust that His provision, both spiritual and physical, is always enough.

God strengthens us through His Spirit!

Ephesians 3:16 reveals that God works within your inner being. His Spirit strengthens your heart, renews your mind, and shapes your character. This is not about external success alone but about deep, lasting transformation.

Through the Holy Spirit, God gives you the ability to endure challenges, grow in faith, and reflect His love. He provides wisdom when you feel uncertain, peace when you feel anxious, and courage when you feel weak.

This inner strength is evidence of God’s active presence in your life. You are not left to rely on your own ability. Instead, God Himself is at work within you, guiding and sustaining you each day.

Why do we struggle to believe in God’s abundance?

Even with these promises, it can be difficult to believe that God’s riches are truly available to us. We often focus on our shortcomings, mistakes, and limitations. In doing so, we lose sight of God’s limitless nature.

True humility is not thinking less of yourself but seeing yourself as God sees you. He created you with intention, values you deeply, and knows every detail of your life. Your worth is not based on your performance but on His design and love.

When you begin to view yourself through this truth, your perspective changes. You start to trust that God’s strength is enough, even in your weakest moments.

How can we live in the reality of God’s unlimited power?

Living in light of God’s riches means embracing the truth that you are not alone and not without purpose. The same God who created everything is actively working within you.

As you draw closer to Him, your life begins to reflect His character. You grow in love, generosity, and purpose, not by striving harder but by allowing His Spirit to lead you.

God has uniquely created you for a purpose that only you can fulfill. His strength equips you to walk in that calling with confidence and faith. What He can do through you is not limited by your ability but defined by His power.

So when you wonder how wealthy God is, remember this truth. He owns everything, and from His endless riches, He strengthens you, guides you, and fills your life with purpose.
