And we urge you, brothers, to admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, and be patient with everyone. – 1 Thessalonians 5:14
You are invited to be patient with everyone!
Patience is not just a virtue, it is an expression of love that reflects the heart of God.
Why Impatience Often Comes From Pride
When we grow impatient, it is often rooted in pride. We may think our time is more valuable, our opinions wiser, or our needs greater. This attitude can quickly turn into frustration or even anger. But God reminds us that every person is equally loved and cared for by Him. None of us is better or worse than another in His eyes.
Encouraging and Supporting One Another
God calls us to encourage each other and to receive encouragement in return. Patience shows up in simple acts: offering a kind word, listening with care, spending time together, or praying for someone in need. These moments of love demonstrate the patience that flows from a humble heart.
Finding True Worth in God’s Love
When we set aside selfish pride, we discover that our true importance is not found in being above others but in loving and serving them. Our worth comes from being deeply loved and cared for by our Father. Every person is precious to Him, and He invites us to see one another with the same love and patience.
