Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9
Can Anything Compare to the Power of God?
Not even close. Nothing in the universe can compare to the power of God—not half as powerful, not a billionth as powerful.
God’s power stands alone: beyond comparison, beyond measure, and beyond comprehension.
What Does It Mean That God Is Omnipotent?
When we say God is omnipotent, we’re not just saying He has “infinite power.” That term still implies a measurable scale. But God’s power is not simply large—it’s immeasurable. He doesn’t possess power as a quantity. He is power itself.
Every form of energy and strength, whether it’s cosmic force or a single breath, originates from God. His power never fades, never runs out, and never needs to be renewed.
God’s power is eternal and inexhaustible.
Understanding Omnipotence in Christian Theology
The term “omnipotence” has been used in Christian theology for centuries to help describe the divine nature of God. Though our minds are limited, God allows us glimpses of His greatness through language, creation, and revelation.
Even our capacity to contemplate God’s power is itself a gift from Him. We create nothing, understand nothing, and possess nothing apart from His will. This truth should lead us to humility and awe.
God’s Power Doesn’t Diminish Us—It Lifts Us Up
One of the most beautiful truths of God’s omnipotence is how He chooses to use it. God didn’t wield His power to remain distant or unapproachable. Instead, He used it to create us, love us, and sustain us.
The same God who speaks galaxies into existence, forms mountain ranges with a word, and holds the laws of physics together—knows you personally. He uses His power to provide, protect, and guide you.
Why God’s Power Matters in Everyday Life
Picture the power that created the universe: planets spinning, oceans roaring, birds singing, and humans breathing—all because God willed it to be. That same power is active in your life today.
When you are weak, afraid, tired, or uncertain, God’s omnipotence is not distant—it’s present and working on your behalf. You are never alone. You are never without help.
Our Strength Comes From God’s Strength
We don’t need to rely on our own strength. Our courage, confidence, and hope don’t come from what we can do—they come from who God is.
Because God is omnipotent, we can live with boldness and faith, knowing His power supports us every step of the way.

A few days ago I told my dad that God is a grounded creator. He isn’t a fluffy loving main deity of Christ the son? His’ creation is simple, detailed and complex when zoom into detail of anything made by Him.
As Genesis 1:1 Says “In the Beginning God Created the Heaven and earth.
Do you understand how grounded heaven and earth is? No fluff? It’s nitty and gritty Like how Jesus ate bread and die on the Cross in a bloody tormented fashion.
The reason why people loose the faith is? They believe God is a fluffy god? When God is a grounded creator. 🙂
He is not who we say He is, but who He says He is!
