- We say, “That was unexpected.” Our Father says, “I planned that a long time ago.”
- We say, “I didn’t see that coming.” Our Father says, “I prepared that before you were born.”
- We say, “Where did that come from?” Our Father says, “Live by faith.”
Faith is greater than fear
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. – Isaiah 43:2
No matter what circumstances life throws at us, we have no fear: Floods. Fires. Calamity. Uncertainty. Sickness. Threats. Anxiety. Peril. Menace. Apprehension. Catastrophe. Disaster. Trouble. Crisis. Confusion. Hardship.
In truth, nothing has actually been “thrown” at us. All things are part of God’s plan. There are no accidents or flukes, although we may not understand why something happens. Random fate does not control the events in our life, but things unfold for God’s purposes. There is no “bad luck,” blind destiny, or chance events. Rather, all things are guided by the will of our Father.
