Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6
Do you know someone who has trouble following through? They begin with passion and great intentions, but their commitment fades when obstacles arise or the task becomes repetitive. Maybe this even describes you.
God’s Faithfulness Never Fails
Unlike us, God never abandons His plans. There are no surprises for Him—He is all-knowing. No task is too repetitive or difficult—He is all-powerful. What we consider impossible is effortless for Him. And what matters most to Him is you. Even before you were born, God had a purpose designed specifically for your life, extending into eternity.
Salvation Is the Beginning of God’s Work in Us
When we accept God’s gift of salvation, we trust in His eternal plan. In that moment, He welcomes us into His family, erases our guilt and shame, and begins transforming us from the inside out. He prepares us for eternal life and renews us each day. Our hope is not in our strength but in His unstoppable purpose.
God’s Work Continues in Every Season
In seasons of doubt, remember that God finishes what He starts. When you fall short or drift away, trust that He remains faithful. In times of despair, when life seems overwhelming, hold onto the truth that His plans cannot fail. When you’re tempted to rely on your own understanding, lean instead on His eternal wisdom. And when life is full of joy, give thanks knowing that God’s work is ongoing, deepening your joy even more.
Trust the One Who Completes His Work
God began a good work in you, and He will bring it to completion. Salvation was just the beginning. Transformation is happening daily. Eternal life is the destination. Whatever you’re facing today, remember this powerful truth: God finishes what He starts.
