Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14
Have you ever noticed how easily children believe? Their faith is simple, pure, and filled with trust. That’s exactly how God wants us to come to Him—without hesitation, without fear, and with a heart full of joyful confidence.
A Childlike Faith
Children don’t overthink or analyze before they trust. They believe in goodness, hope for the best, and run straight into the arms of love. Jesus invites us to approach Him in that same way: with excitement, honesty, and an open heart. When we leave our worries behind and come to God as our Father, we find peace that replaces fear and faith that replaces doubt.
The Heart of the Father
God designed family, parenting, and childhood to help us understand His love. Just as a good parent guides and protects their child, our Heavenly Father provides for us, disciplines us with care, and surrounds us with unconditional love. Even when life is difficult or lessons are hard to learn, His love never stops. It comforts, restores, and teaches us to trust Him more deeply every day.
Belonging to the Kingdom
When Jesus welcomed the little children, He wasn’t only blessing them—He was teaching all of us. He wanted His disciples, and every believer, to see that the Kingdom of Heaven is built on trust, humility, and love. In His eyes, we are His children, fully accepted and deeply cherished. So come as you are, with the heart of a child, and know that you belong to Him.
