For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and self-control. – 2 Timothy 1:7

What makes you nervous?

It could be a person you would rather avoid, a situation you dread, or even a memory that lingers. Yet God never calls us to run and hide. Instead, He offers His shelter so we can push away anxiety, knowing He is looking after us.

What It Means to Live Without Timidity

Living without fear means standing up for what is right and resisting what is wrong. It means admitting our failures and boldly displaying God’s love and forgiveness by confessing them. It means choosing to love wholeheartedly even when it is difficult.

It also means asking God for opportunities to serve Him and eagerly pursuing each one without hesitation. It is waking up each morning with the confidence to say, “My faith is in the God of all creation, and He loves me.”

Bold Faith Through God’s Power

We know that God is all-powerful and loves us completely. This gives us the courage to step fully into His love and power, leaving fear behind. We remain humble before God, yet bold before any challenge. Living without timidity means believing the Holy Spirit is with us and within us, enabling us to face anything with faith and confidence.
