Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:20

When we speak of loved ones who have passed away, we often say they are still with us. We remember their words, their actions, and the time we shared with them. These memories carry emotions and meaning, not just facts. They stay in our hearts as well as our minds.

The Promise of Presence

The disciples must have had similar reflections when Jesus spoke of His continued presence. They would remember His teachings and their experiences together. But Jesus was offering more than just memories. He was promising His actual presence.

God Is Always With Us

We live in both a physical and spiritual world. God is present in every moment, surrounding us completely. As Creator of all things, He exists everywhere. But His presence is not distant or abstract. It is deeply personal and rooted in His love for us. God is near not just because He is divine, but because He chooses to be near out of love.

The Encouragement of Jesus

Jesus gives us powerful encouragement through His presence. We can face challenges with courage, strength, and perseverance because He is always with us. His words are a promise that we are never alone.

  • You can be courageous, because I am always with you.
  • You can be strong, because I am always with you.
  • You can keep going, because I am always with you.
  • You can do all things, because I am always with you.

Jesus Is Always Present

Jesus is not only our Savior and Lord. He is the one who loves us completely and holds all power. He promised never to leave us. Through the Holy Spirit, He remains constantly present. His promise stands firm—He is with us always.
