The Eternal Nature of Love
God tells us in His Word that when all is said and done, only three things will remain: faith, hope and love. And the greatest of these is love. It is difficult for us to fully grasp this, but Scripture makes it clear—love is the greatest treasure of all.
Love in All Creation
Think about the vast universe with its countless stars and endless galaxies. Out of all that grandeur, the most immeasurable thing to exist is love. On earth, among the breathtaking mountains and mighty oceans, the most beautiful thing is love. Throughout human history, even with all the remarkable writings, courageous deeds and great achievements, the only thing that ultimately matters is love.
The universe itself will pass away. Every creation and all human accomplishments will fade. But love will remain, because it is eternal and rooted in God Himself.
Love in Our Daily Lives
In your own life, with all of its cares and challenges, love never fails. In the way you treat others, love never fails. When you face your weaknesses, and even when you face death, love never fails. God’s love never fails. It will never cease, never end, and never disappear.
Love is everlasting because it comes from God, who is eternal. His love never ever, never ever fails.
