What can contain God?
God created the entire universe, yet nothing in it can contain Him. The vastness of space, the brilliance of the stars, and the beauty of creation are only glimpses of His imagination and power. If the universe itself cannot hold Him, how could we ever think we could fully understand His thoughts or grasp the depths of His greatness? Thankfully, God does not ask us to figure it all out on our own. The mystery of His majesty is beyond us, but His love is near to us.
The Greatness of God’s Love
God’s power is matched by His compassion. He has revealed Himself to us through His Word and through His Son, Jesus Christ. He comes to us, forgives us, teaches us how to live, and gives us the promise of eternal life with Him. In His mercy, He calls us His children. Our response is not to try to contain Him with our limited understanding, but to humbly trust Him.
The Immeasurable Nature of God’s Love
When we look at the night sky, we are amazed at the countless stars and the immensity of creation. Yet God’s love for us is greater still. Nothing can measure it, and nothing can contain it. His love surrounds us, sustains us, and draws us ever closer to Him. This is the God who made the universe, and yet cares deeply for every single one of us.
