Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. – Jeremiah 29:12
The Creator of the universe, the One who imagined all things and holds power over time and space, listens when you pray. This truth can be difficult to fully comprehend. Why would God care about us? Even if He made us, why would He be interested in the details of our lives? Compared to the vastness of creation, we may feel like small and simple specks. Nothing requires Him to hear us, and He is not obligated to respond. Yet He chooses to listen because of His great love.
The Love of God in Listening
When God listens to us, it is another clear expression of His love. He cares for us personally and individually, meeting us with affection and compassion. God does not simply have the ability to hear our prayers; He delights in doing so. His love is active, powerful, and attentive to every word we bring before Him.
Come to the Lord in Prayer
Because of His love, you can humbly come before the Lord and share your heart with Him. He hears your prayers and welcomes your words. God loves you deeply, and He listens to you with unfailing care.
