My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. – Psalm 73:26
Have you ever noticed how quickly life changes? Whether in moments of joy or seasons of struggle, one truth remains: everything we know and experience in this world is temporary. Both the good and the bad will eventually fade away, but God endures forever.
The Temporary Nature of Life
Wealth and comfort, poverty and need, health and sickness, pleasure and hardship—all of these will pass. No matter what we try to hold onto in this life, death eventually strips it away. The things we think matter most today are fleeting, but God’s promises remain unshaken. Our true treasure is not here on earth, but in His eternal kingdom.
The Eternal Hope of God’s Promises
In Christ, our future is secure. The struggles and pains of this life will one day be replaced by perfect joy, lasting health, and everlasting peace. God assures us that no matter our circumstances, His love for us is the same. Our sins and needs unite us all, and His grace offers us the same glorious eternity through faith in Jesus.
God Is Our Portion Forever
Nothing in this world lasts, but God does. He is our strength when we are weak, our hope when we despair, and our portion forever. All else will fade, but His kingdom remains unshakable. Cling to Him, for He is everything.
