But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31
Don’t get tired!
Strength That Goes Beyond the Finish Line
When God gives us strength, it is never just enough to barely make it through. We might think so if Scripture only spoke of walking without fainting, as if His help simply kept us moving slowly toward the end. But God’s promise is far greater than that—He empowers us to run without growing weary.
Running Without Weariness
With God’s power, we do not simply plod along. Runners can stumble, collapse, or be forced to stop. But to run and never become weary? That means endurance beyond human ability. It means finishing as strong as we began. This is a strength we know cannot come from ourselves. In our own power, we grow tired. But when we place our hope in the Lord, His power renews us, and we can keep running without losing heart.
The Source of This Strength
This new strength flows from our hope in the Lord. It is born in humble faith and sustained by His presence. When we trust Him fully, He not only restores our energy but fills us with an unshakable spirit to face every challenge.
Soaring on Eagle’s Wings
As if running without weariness were not enough, God promises even more. He lifts us up to soar on wings like eagles. His grace, love, and power carry us higher than we could ever imagine, turning what we thought was a struggle to endure into a glorious flight. In His strength, we walk, we run, and we fly.
