Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7

Who do you talk to when you are anxious?

When worries press in, many of us turn to a trusted friend, a spouse, a counselor, or a pastor. Talking things through often brings relief, even if the problem itself remains. Yet God offers us something even greater. He not only listens but invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him. He promises to take them from us.

Jesus Understands Our Struggles

When Jesus came into the world, He experienced the same cares and concerns we do. He felt the weight of emotions, the sting of temptation, and the pressure of difficult circumstances. He knows what it means to walk through genuine fear and apprehension. Because He lived as one of us, He fully understands our struggles.

Exchanging Anxiety for God’s Certainty

Jesus did more than understand. Through His death and resurrection, He secured our forgiveness and now invites us to hand over our worries to Him. In their place, He gives us the certainty of God’s goodness. We gain confidence in God’s forgiveness, assurance of His daily provision, and the unshakable hope of a future with Him.

Cast Your Cares on the Lord

God’s love is stronger than any worry we carry. He calls us to throw our anxieties into the place of forgiveness, to place our cares in the hope of eternal life, and to entrust our worries into His faithful provision. As we cast them all on Him, we find peace and confidence in the unfailing love of God.
