Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. – Hebrews 12:28
Have you ever stopped to think about what it means to live in God’s kingdom? Not only are we residents in His country, but we are also children of the King. That truth changes everything about how we live, worship, and give thanks.
Living as Children of the King
God has poured out His love, grace, and salvation upon us. As His children, we belong in His kingdom, and that belonging fills our hearts with gratitude. True worship is born not from fear but from thanksgiving. We don’t approach God trembling in dread of what He might do. Instead, His compassion transforms our fear into reverence and our dread into awe. The Creator of all things deeply loves us, and that love inspires our worship.
The Power of Gratitude in Worship
When we live with thankful hearts, our worship becomes genuine and unshakable. Gratitude reminds us of who God is and what He has done for us. We lift our praise not out of obligation, but because His kindness, mercy, and faithfulness overflow in our lives. Thankfulness is the posture of those who know they are loved by the King of kings.
An Unshakable Salvation
Our salvation is as secure as God’s kingdom itself. His promises are certain, His love unchanging, and His power eternal. Nothing can shake the salvation we have in Jesus Christ. That assurance fills us with confidence, joy, and worship. Be filled with gratitude. Be filled with thankfulness. Be filled with praise. Worship God, for His kingdom and His salvation will never be shaken.
