Wherever you go, I’m there with you

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9 What keeps you from growing in your walk with Jesus? Discouragement and fear may be two different things, but God puts them together here in this passage. Both of them keep us from moving forward. Instead, we stand still, with a tired sigh or a gasp of fright. God gives us the solution to both. We may lack courage, but he tells us we can be fearless because He is with us. We may lack strength, but He tells us we can be strong because He is with us. He is with us! Everywhere we go. The word ‘go’ shows us we are to keep moving, walking with Him and following His path. We may bump into failures, and be discouraged. We may face things that scare us, that really scare us. But the creator of the universe is right there with us. His power and love will overcome those things, and turn them into times of courage and strength. Keep moving forward—God is always with us!
